Mr. Richard Kofi Adjei is a deputy chief executive and chief inspector of mines at the minerals commission.

He is a Mining Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He worked with AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi mine in various capacities as a Surface and Underground Production Engineer and also an Underground Mine Planning Engineer.

He joined the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission in April, 2008 as Inspector of Mines and rose through the ranks to his current position.

Mr. Adjei holds an MSc (Mining Engineering) from the University of Mines and Technology(UMaT) and an MBA (Operations Management) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
